Originally from the Chicago area, Courtney Murphy lives in Old Greenwich with her husband and two small children. A proud Hoya, Courtney attended Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., and holds a Masters in Contemporary Art from Sotheby’s Institute of Art in London. She began her career at ABC News Nightline in Washington, D.C., as a researcher for renowned newsman Ted Koppel, and subsequently worked as a Press Officer at Sotheby’s New York. Courtney has spent the past eight years at CECP, a nonprofit organization founded by actor/philanthropist Paul Newman and based in NYC that consults companies on their social strategies for improving communities and strengthening their businesses. Courtney serves on the boards of the Georgetown Baker Scholars and the Friends of Greenwich Point.
