Jodi Applegate is an Emmy award-winning television journalist who anchored at NBC and MSNBC Networks. At NBC, Jodi co-hosted the weekend edition of “Today” and appeared regularly on the weekday edition of “Today.” She was also a principal anchor at MSNBC, and co-host on “Good Day New York” WNYW-TV (Fox5). She also anchored the evening news on WPIX-TV (PIX11) in New York.
Jodi brings close to 25 years of media experience to Clarity’s clients, helping them prepare for media opportunities and public speaking engagements. Jodi has conducted training sessions for broadcast interviews, print/digital interviews, demo segments and taped feature pieces. She also prepares clients for presentations, meetings and panels. Jodi’s client experience includes magazine editors, lifestyle experts, authors, and corporate executives across industries. She has worked with clients such as Amazon, L’Oreal, Meredith Corporation, Starwood Hotels & Resorts, NARS Cosmetics, Procter & Gamble, and A&E. Jodi’s training sessions come as close as it gets to the real-life scenario of being a TV guest, whether you’re promoting a new product, discussing a new book or your company’s services.
Her journalism career took her around the world, reporting from Rome, London, Hong Kong and all across the U.S, covering breaking news, political conventions and Olympics. She has conducted live interviews with hundreds of newsmakers.
Jodi graduated from New York University with a bachelor’s degree in film and television. She grew up in Pennsylvania and lives with her husband, sportscaster Michael Kay, and their two children.
