2024 Grant Champions and Their Causes

Parkinsons Body & Mind

1st Prize, $75,000:

Parkinson’s Body & Mind

parkinsonsbodyandmind.org

Grant Champions: Virginia Lockhart, Courtney Murphy & Lea Russell

The Pitch: Parkinson’s Disease is the fastest growing neurological disease in the world. Exercise has been demonstrated to be very affective at slowing disease progression, hence the demand for PBM programs and services is growing. A PYP Grant will cover capacity building: the funds will be used to pay for a new Program Manager/Director with an exercise background.

Boys & Girls Club

2nd Prize, $45,000:

Boys & Girls Club of Greenwich

bgcg.org

Grant Champions: Chalon Lefebvre, Stef Morin & Sarah Morris

The Pitch: Boys and Girls Club is undergoing a major renovation, and will soon be another reason to love where we live. The proposed PYP grant request will cover material costs not included in BGCG’s capital campaign, including this project to outfit the new Teen Center with furniture and AV equipment.

Neighbor to Neighbor 2024

3rd Prize: $20,000:

Neighbor to Neighbor

ntngreenwich.org

Grant Champion: Angelique Dawson

The Pitch: NtN has seen an 18% increase in the number of people that they currently serve compared to 2023. This increase poses a new challenge for NtN. A PYP Grant will directly speak to this need, by bolstering NtN’s Supplemental Food Program, ensuring fresh, healthy food for all that need it.
